Njara primary school has revealed a willingness to welcome support towards improving the health and sanitation of their school as promised by Rwenzori Aid a non-government organization.
Based in Rwengoma Fort Portal City, Rwenzori Aid launched a football tournament dubbed Cooperate Games For WASH 2022, that has attracted more than 30 companies and organizations to solicit money to support government-aided primary schools.
According to Amon Murungi, the director Rwenzori Aid, companies have decided to start with Njara P/S school, considering the bigger enrolment and their urgent need for toilets and water taps.

Our reporter has visited Njara Primary school and established that the school is operating without proper toilet and water facilities hence the urgent need for support.
Rwenzori Aid says the program will be quarterly and rotational to benefit every primary government school within Fort Portal City.
Constance Asiimwe, the head teacher of Njara primary school has revealed the school’s lack of enough latrines for both learners and teachers and inadequate water to cater for a population of about 1300 children, especially during break and lunchtime.
