Over 1000 people from the four sub-counties of Rwebisengo town council,Rwebisengo ,Butungama and Bweramule have been left homeless after being hit by fresh floods yesterday May 3, 2023.
What happened
According to residents, the waters started coming yesterday night when they were asleep, cutting all the sub- counties.
This then left them with nowhere to escape at the momentous epoch.
Dan Tusiime, a resident of Rwebisengo town council, who doubling as a councilor representing the people of Rwebisengo South ward, the water has cut off all their houses, washed away their gardens and crops, left their animals lifeless among others.
He observes that this has left most people with no option but to start looking out for their dear lives.

According to Tusiime, the road that connects Bundibugyo,Ntoroko and Fort Portal has been severely affected, leaving a number of People stuck on their way to their respective destinations.
He further explains that some people are running to their nearby relatives, giving an example, people from Bweramule running to Kibuku and other places.
Residents call for an immediate Action
The affected resident, have thus called for government intervention, saying that Ntoroko district is prone to related calamities , citing the recent dry spell that left hundreds of animals dead.
