Preparations are in high gear at Our lady of Sorrow Bukwali parish Central Division FortPortal City, ahead of tomorrow’s priestly and deaconate ordinations.
Candidates
The candidates to be ordained tomorrow, include Seminarians Julius Alituha, George Byangabu, Sebastiano Friday, Tadeo Mwesige, Julius Tinkasiimire, and Thomas Tuhairwe, who are set to be deacons, and Deacons Josephat Ategeka, Samuel Ategeka,Robrt Bazara and Ronald Mutegeki will be ordained Priests.
According to Patrick Ategeka, the Chairperson organizing committee, the parish is set to host over 3000 people from all over the nation.
Ategeka, has said Mass is expected to start at 10 am, after the priestly procession, and the main celebrant is Rt. Rev. Bishop Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki, the Ordinary of Fort Portal.
Concerning Security, Ategeka has revealed that Covid 19 is still in existence, thereby making an appeal to Christians set to attend, to come in their face masks.
This corresponds to Hon. Peace Mutuuzo’s observation last week at Yerya ordinations where people had relaxed in wearing face masks yet Covid still exists.
Christians
Some of the Christians involved in preparations have said that the function will inspire the young generations to pick interest in the vocation of priesthood following the touching activities of the day.
Bukwali Parish doubling as a host parish, is set to bless the church with two priests, in the last set of Fort Portal diocese ordinations 2022, where 4 will be ordained priests and 6 will be ordained deacons.
