The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Tooro Sub-Region Coordinator, Basaliza Henry Mutegeki, together with the PLU Youth Representative Hon. Kayondo Gilbert, has visited Kataraka Health Centre IV, where they donated mama kits to expectant mothers to support safe and dignified childbirth.
During the visit, Basaliza commended the NRM government for continued investment in the health sector, highlighting visible improvements at Kataraka Health Centre IV. He specifically pointed to the ongoing construction of a modern Outpatient Department (OPD) and the fully operational theatre, which he said is equipped with first-class medical facilities that are improving service delivery.
Basaliza further applauded the Minister of State for Primary Health Care, Hon. Margaret Muhanga Mugisa, and the Fort Portal City leadership for what he described as effective leadership and commitment to strengthening healthcare services in the city.
Expectant Mothers advised
Addressing the expectant mothers, the PLU leaders encouraged them to utilize government health facilities and acknowledged health workers for their dedication.
Basaliza also urged residents to support the NRM presidential flag bearer, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, in the upcoming January 15, 2026 presidential elections, citing progress made in the health sector as a key achievement.
The donation exercise was welcomed by mothers at the facility, who expressed gratitude for the support and the continued improvements at Kataraka Health Centre IV.
