Ugandans have been urged by General Mugisha Muntu, former presidential candidate of the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), to view politics with a sense of soberness, emphasizing that it should not be seen as mere entertainment.
Muntu stresses that political engagement should be grounded in a deeper understanding that it is not about thrilling spectacles but rather about laying the foundation for equitable distribution of resources.
Addressing criticisms regarding the compatibility of ANT’s political ideology with Uganda’s landscape, Muntu underscored that the party’s focus is on building clear structures through grassroots mobilization, rather than pandering to short-lived excitement.
The Former presidential candidate was yesterday speaking on the Bwakyayo program on Jubilee radio, reiterating that politics holds significant weight in shaping societal progress and should be approached with the gravity it deserves.
Muntu, accompanied by ANT officials including Kasiano Wadri, is currently touring the Tooro region to elaborate on the party’s mobilization efforts in Bunyangabu district.
He revealed that their mobilization endeavors extend across various regions, including Busoga, West Nile, Bukedi, Buganda, Mityana, among others, with the aim of educating Ugandans on governance issues.
