The Bishop of Fort Portal catholic Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki has asked Christians to strive to recognize who they are if they are to be like the beloved disciple.
While delivering his homily yesterday during the Bishop’s day at the Bishop’s residence in Kijanju Fort Portal city, Bishop Muhiirwa said that Christians can do this through listening to the teacher the Lord Jesus himself, strive to understand the scriptures, personal prayer, and humility among others.
Bishop Muhiirwa, says that as they celebrate Christmas they have mangers in their homes where by you find mother Mary, St. Joseph and the baby (Jesus), saying that they should ponder on the baby and speak to them.
His lordship’s argument is that they should appreciate examples of beloved dispel being at the feet of Jesus and at the cross of Jesus. He says that his presence at the feet of cross speaks volume by showing the weakness of other dispels at the same time teachers them the importance of being present.
He thus asked men to always love their children and fulfill their responsibilities instead of leaving them to their wives.
