The leadership of Rotary club of Kabarole yesterday inducted new 14 members. The 14 members are Eveline Karungi , Gloria Twebaze, Mariam Karungi, Joseph Ndamira, Musirikale, Atuhairwe Marion, Esther Karungi and Nelson Tuhaise among others.
While speaking during the induction ceremony held at Kalya courts in Fort Portal city, the district governor John Ndamira Magezi asked the new members to go and be ambassadors of Rotary club in their communities.
He asked them to be exemplary to others which will encourage them people to join the Rotary club.
Rotarian Eddy Basaliza, the assistant governor Rotary club Kabarole said that in Rotary they attract as many members as possible so that they can serve the society better.
He adds that recently they attended the seminar of domestic violence where they condemned the vice, and supported the government policy and NGOs to ensure there is no domestic violence.
He says that domestic violence is largely caused by poverty hence encouraging people to be more productive and have something to certain in their homes.
Being one of the largest youth organizations world wide, Rotary develops character and brings out the best of the human spirit, by teaching people ethics, humanity cultural awareness, and also the ability to serve.
