Police in Sembabule are holding one of their own for allegedly shooting at people killing one on the spot and injuring two others.
The southern regional police spokesperson Muhamad Nsubuga says the officer is attached to Nankondo police post in Sembabule district.
The deceased has been identified as Jimmy Luyinda a motorcyclist in Masaka, while the injured are Safari Murihona and another is only identified as Ssebayira.
The shocking incident occurred at Nankondo village in Lwebitakuli Sub County when an angry mob attacked the home of a one Fred Ssenyondo and destroyed it before setting it on fire accusing him of bringing fetishes that have been terrorizing resi
dents.
