As S.4 students in Uganda sit for their 1st written exam county wide, Fort Portal and Kabarole districts have registered a successful beginning according to a Jubilee Radio survey.
School heads note punctuality in exam distribution
In an up close with our reporter, George Ruyonga, the head teacher of Mpanga secondary school, revealed that the examinations reached in time at their school, which prompted the candidates to start writing the scripts in time.
Ruyonga says that Mpanga Secondary registered 425 candidates and 2 missed yesterday’s exams for unidentified reasons.
He further noted that a healthy body is a health mind, thus asking parents to support their dear children in this examination period by providing for them proper lunch and other requirements.
Trophy Atuhairwe, the head teacher St. Leo’s college Kyegobe, says that the school registered 28 candidates who all turned up for the first examination day.
Atuhairwe, confirmed too that the situation was fully calm, with every activity in its right order and no challenge.
Lucia Alinda, the director of St. Lucia high school also said they received exams on time and all registered candidates turned up.
Yesterday S.4 candidates started with mathematics paper I in the morning, mathematics paper II in the evening and today Tuesday they have will done chemistry practical in the morning, and music Aural in afternoon.
Students warned on malpractices
Last week On Friday October 14, The students were warned on malpractices in UNEB exams that would not only lead to their disqualification, but also painting a bad name to the School.
Israel Tayebwa, the head teacher St.Lucia high school, during briefing, warned that students had had ample time to prepare for the UCE exams, so they would not be lenient with any malpractice in exams.
