Rev. Fr. Francis Caesar Mugabi, a Formator at St. Mary’s Ggaba National Major Seminary, has urged Christians to fully dedicate themselves to their responsibilities and ministries.
Fr. Mugabi was addressing the congregation during a Holy Mass at the Mary Queen of Peace Chapel at St. Paul’s Seminary Kinyamasika, marking the end of a two-day visit from their sister seminary, Ggaba.
Drawing inspiration from the day’s scriptures, Fr. Mugabi emphasized that God calls Christians to focus on those whom society often neglects. He pointed to the example of the poor widow in the Bible, whose humble offering was valued by Jesus, despite being overlooked by society. Fr. Mugabi urged everyone to give their best in whatever they do—students in their studies, formators in their ministry—so that God can abundantly bless their efforts and talents.
Kinyamasika Loses to Ggaba
During their visit to St. Paul’s Kinyamasika, the two seminaries also held a friendly football match, where St. Paul’s Kinyamasika lost 1-2 to St. Mary’s Ggaba.
On behalf of Kinyamasika, Rev. Fr. Oscar Mary Ssuuna thanked Ggaba Seminary for their courtesy visit, which he said strengthened the bond between the two institutions. He also praised the sports event and wished the Ggaba seminarians a safe journey back to Kampala.
Fr. Mugabi, expressing his gratitude for the warm hospitality and generosity at St. Paul’s Kinyamasika, commended the seminary for the time and experiences shared with their students. He called for continued friendship and collaboration between the two seminaries.
