Pupils who are about to join secondary schools, have been warned against engaging in acts of homosexuality, that has recently become rampant in the country.
The call was made by Reverend Rev. Peluce Kajumba Akiiki of St. Steven Kasiisi Church of Uganda on Tuesday while preaching to pupils, teachers, parents at the Thanksgiving service for Kasiisi Primary school, following the good performance in the just released PLE results by the Ministry of Education.
Rev. Kajumba, noted that homosexuality is now rampant in churches, schools and homes, hence called upon parents, teachers, religious and local leaders to openly come out and fight the vice.
She further asked parents to stop discouraging their children who have not performed well in the 2022 PLE results, noting that such children often become successful in the future
She however asked pupils to observe discipline when they join secondary and tertiary schools and in the next step of their lives.

Relevant to Rev. Kajumba’s appeal to students joining institutions, the Deputy Speaker, Thomas Tayebwa last week raised alarm over ‘increasing’ cases of homosexuality sodomy in schools.
While chairing the Tuesday plenary sitting, Tayebwa said he had been receiving ‘painful’ stories about how students are getting forced into homosexuality and lesbianism.
I am getting painful stories about homosexuality and many people are dying in silence. It seems our schools have been infiltrated and recruitment centres are open. It’s extremely sad. Our children have been grabbed and sodomized. We must tackle this issue head-on without fear. pic.twitter.com/VlwwI8hITm
