War has erupted in the Forum For good Governance- FGG, over mistrust among the leaders which has made some of them to quit pressure group.
The war, comes in at a time when some members and leaders of the pressure group were seen in a community dialogue meeting, organized by the former presidential candidate Joseph Kabuleta under the Topic” THE TOORO WE WANT” at Night Rose Hotel.
Aggrieved members of this pressure group however, claim they were not informed of this dialogue. The aggrieved include Sylvia Kihunde the FGG vice Chair person and David Musinguzi the deputy Secretary General who went on to quit the Pressure group.
According to Musinguzi, there was no way some of the group leaders would attend the dialogue without an authorization or agreement by the other members and fellow leaders.
Musinguzi states that before the mega meeting, some group leaders first had an enclosed meeting with Kabuleta at Mountains of the moon hotel.
He adds that some members have turned into opportunists by not following the main objectives of the group but fulfilling individual interests thus vowing not to be used because he has a reputation to protect.
Sylvia Kihunde, has stated that she has left the group due to mistrust among members. She claims that before leaders do anything on behalf of the group, group members should be notified first.
However, the Deputy Spokesperson FGG Thomas Kakuru, has denied all the allegations that they were bribed by Kabuleta. He states that Kabuleta’s meeting was aimed at conversing with people and stake holders stakeholders on how to improve and develop the Tooro region.
Kakuru adds that he himself was not invites as FGG but a member of NUP. He says that the meeting was attended by different parties, opinion leaders, media among others wondering if they were also bribed.
He has further called upon members of the opposition to come together as one, since majority have the same ideologies.
The Forum For Good Governance( FGG) is a pressure group that was started by some people from Tooro region with an aim of power bargaining from the government for Tooro to benefit from the national cake.
