The Ministry Of Gender, Labour And Social Development Launches An App In The Fight Against GBV.

The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development has launched the SAFEPAL Application in Fort Portal in a bid to fight gender based violence.

In A Workshop Which Was  held At Tooro Botanical Gardens In Fort Portal City Attended by all the stakeholders, Richard Atuhirwe From The IT Department Of The Ministry of Gender, the APP is an online initiative to help people report cases of violence through online.

The application will also help people get courage to report cases of violence especially in the young children who fear to report cases when seeing suspects.

Meanwhile, The Vice Chairperson Kabarole District Babuza Augustine Who Represented The Chairperson LC5 Richard Rwabuhinga Commended The Ministry For The Initiative Which Will Benefit Mostly The Youth’s To Report Cases Of Gender.

Babuza Has Further Asked The Ministry Of Gender To Atleast Make The Application Free By Providing Data To Some Of The People Who Cannot Afford Data.
