By Lucky Patrick

The Prime Minister of Tooro Kingdom, Owek. Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire has called on clan heads to work together and support the kingdom’s activities to drive development. Rwomiire appealed during a meeting with 54 clan heads at Mucwa Kingdom Chambers in Fort Portal City

Deputy Prime Minister, Harriet Nyakake Abwooli emphasized the importance of clan heads intervening in family disputes and land issues, which are prevalent in Tooro. She encouraged them to play a more active role in resolving these problems to maintain peace in society.

Minister for Local Government and Clan Mobilization, Owek Elasto Kasoro, highlighted several initiatives aimed at strengthening relationships between the kingdom and local governments.

These include allocating space for a museum to boost tourism and income generation. Kasoro also tasked clan heads with establishing SACCOs and engaging in income-generating activities to promote prosperity.
