Tooro United FC fought back to share spoils with Gaddafi FC as the two sides drew 1-1 in a Uganda premier league game played at the Buhinga Stadium on Tuesday, October 26.
Forward Joel Madondo gave visitors the lead in 28 minute of the game from the penalty spot after Brian Kalumba was brought down in the penalty area.
Marvin Oshaba scored the leveller, late in the second half, dispatching a penalty of his own after Tooro United Midfielder Ronald Mubiru was brought down in the penalty area by Gaddafi goalkeeper Ronald Mutebi.
Tooro United now seats in the fifth position with four points in their first two league games of the season having defeated Mbarara City 1-0 in the first game on saturday.
Gaddafi are still in search óf a maiden topflight win after losing to Busoga United and KCCA FC on match-day one and two, respectively but they have earned their first ever point in the uganda topflight league.
The point came at a cost for Gadaffi,the side was forced into two earlier substitutions; Paul Musamali was taken off after collision and replaced by Serwadda Nazil. And just after half an hour, Magumba Bakari came off injured for Otongo Willis.
Brian Kalumba was also stretchered off with an injury in the 70th minute with Bithum Ronald coming on in his place.
In their next league fixtures, Tooro United take a long trip to face KCCA FC at Omondi Stadium Lugogo while Gaddafi FC host Solitilo Bright Stars at Gaddafi Arena Jinja City.
