The joint operation by the Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces (UPDF), and the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo ( FARDC) operating in Mwalika Valley under the 15th battalion, has yesterday rescued three children who had been captured by ADF.
The rescue, followed the UPDF- FARDC’s encounter with a group of ADF rebels, that left two of them killed and a rocket propelled gun (RPG) launcher recovered from the terrorists.

The three children who were in dire health conditions and in need of medical attention, are currently being monitored and undergoing treatment by the UPDF medical personnel.
According to the public relations officer mountain division and operational shuuja Major Bilal Katamba , The joint forces captured the ADF rebels on August 6 this year, who further surrendered and led the joint forces to where they had hidden their weapons.
In the process, the joint forces subsequently recovered the two submachine guns (SMGs).
The joint forces, continue the search in the Valley of Mwalika, hunting for all the ADF rebels who are terrorizing the community.
They at the same time target to rescue more children and women who are saud to have been captured time and again by the very ADF.
