The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has announced dates for Uganda Cup round of 16 ties.
The First leg of the ties will be played from 1st May to 5th with the second legs coming between May 3rd-6th.
The postponed fixture between Kitara FC and Kigezi Homeboyz have also been given a date.
At the Round of 32, 15 of 16 games were played, with the Kitara FC Vs Kigezi game postponed.
The first leg was not honoured after poor communication about match-day venue. FUFA has since rescheduled the first leg on April 29.
The date for the second round fixture of the round of 32 between Kigezi Homeboyz vs Kitara at the Mbale Municipal Stadium is not yet confirmed.
All teams at the round of 16, are already guaranteed of a minimum of Sh3m each as prize money from Cup sponsors Stanbic and Plascon paints.
The winner, of the final which will be played on July 24 at a yet to be named venue, will take Sh50m.
It should be noted that this year’s Cup is competed for by only UPL and Big League clubs. The tourney is being played on a home and away basis until the final.
Wakiso Giants midfielder Tom Masiko is the leading scorer in the competition with three goals, so far.
