The Fort-portal city resident commissioner Stephen Asiimwe who doubles as the chief coordinator for Emyoga program Says that Uganda can have as many leaders as forests but if they are not patriotic, development and social transformation will not prevail.
Asiimwe said the The Ruling government ushered in very many programs with the intention of fighting poverty, unemployment through Operation Wealth Creation, Uganda Women Empowerment Program, Youths Livelihood Program, Emyoga among others.
He says that due to poor mindset people have not benefited from these programs hence asking people to be patriotic by loving the areas where they come from, love each other and protect the name of their country.
The RDC was speaking in a one day workshop organized by Micro Finance Support Center in Fort-portal city yesterday Monday.
Hakim Kintu the Co-ordinator Of Emyoga program In Bundibugyo and Ntoroko Districts warned people against politicizing the program but rather use it to develop themselves through forming groups.
