The Rwenzururu Kingdom has postponed the 60th Coronation Anniversary celebrations of His Majesty Charles Wisely Mumbere Iremangoma.
The celebrations, earlier set for October 19th, have been moved to November 14th, 2026 but the kingdom says the change is due to the ongoing medical review of the King in Turkey, where he travelled in late August.
Addressing a press yesterday at Verina Gardens in Kasese Municipality, the Kingdom Premier, Rt. Hon. Baritazale Benson Kule, said all major annual royal activities will now take place on November 14th including Palace Construction Launch, the Coronation Anniversary and the Birthday Run celebrations.
He appealed to subjects and well-wishers to contribute towards and mobilise for the three events.
However, the Talent Show under the Kyakere Carnival will go ahead as planned on October 18th to promote talent.
The Premier also urged the public to remain united, embrace love and peaceful coexistence, and keep praying for and supporting the Kingdom.
