Kamwenge Grade One Magistrate Innocent Ahimbisibwe Kagumire has urged the public to embrace the courts’ open door policy to access judicial proceedings, court records and better understand court processes.
Ahimbisibwe made the remarks during a mobile court sitting at Kabujogera Town Council in Kitagwenda District, where a three-day court session is being held at the inactive Kicheche Magistrate’s Court, organized by International Justice Mission.

Ahimbisibwe, representing Kamwenge Chief Magistrate Mfitundinda George, said the courts’ open-door policy, championed by Chief Justice Dr. Flavian Zeija, is intended to promote transparency, improve access to justice, and foster direct interaction between the judiciary, advocates, and members of the public
Ahimbisibwe said the Judiciary has also introduced mobile courts to extend services to remote, underserved and hard-to-reach communities where permanent court sittings are unavailable.
