Thousands of mourners from several denominations yesterday turned up in Karambi royal cemetery for the final send off of the late king Oyo Nyimba Rukidi IV.
The mourners came from as far as Kampala, Busoga, Kasese and outside countries like Kenya, Congo USA among others.
The body of the king was first taken at the Karuzika palace for requiem service which was led by his grace Samuel Kazimba Mugalu the archbishop of the church of Uganda thereafter it was brought in a procession led by the band.
The mourners lined up alongside the Kasese road side by side in honor of king Oyo’s body. However, there was heavy security deployment at the cemetery premises including the police and the army.
According to mourners, they had to give a good send off of their beloved king.
The mourners who were chanting the name of the head of the Babito clan Musuga Charles Kamurasi Akiiki who further asked him to nature and guide the new King to rule the people of Tooro diligently.
