HOIMA- Editorial
The Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti, has commended the faithful for their fervent prayers for his health during the time he has been bedridden and receiving treatment in India.
The Ordinary of Hoima Diocese has been unwell almost since the start of the year and has been unable to attend major church functions that required his presence, delegating his duties to others.
He conveyed his heartfelt message of thanksgiving today from his residence in Bujumbura East, Hoima City.
Bishop Kirabo said the faithful’s prayers, including Masses and Novenas offered for him, gave him comfort and hope for his recovery.
He also commended individuals and organizations for their support, including the Hoima Diocese External Residents Association (HOIDERA), and Bunyoro Kitara Diocese of the Anglican Church, among others.
Bishop Kirabo further appreciated Radio Maria, Rev. Fr. Davis Mugisa Musiime Akiiki, the Health Coordinator of Hoima Diocese who has been taking care of him in India, the Vicar General of Hoima Diocese Msgr. Robert Mugisa, religious leaders, and political leaders.
He urged the faithful to continue performing their duties with joy as if serving the Lord and not people, and to keep praying without losing hope.
Bishop Kirabo noted that although he is back, he is still under treatment.
