Stakeholders at Kaboyo Secondary School in Mugusu Town Council, Kabarole District, have officially handed over the site for the construction of a multipurpose hall, science laboratory, and pit latrines under a two-year infrastructure development project funded by ENABLE Uganda.
Speaking during the site handover ceremony, Kabarole District Chairperson Ruben Kimome commended ENABLE for its continued investment in education and community development across the district. He said the new facilities will significantly improve the learning environment, enhance sanitation standards, and promote the welfare of both learners and staff.
Kimome urged the school community, local leaders, and other stakeholders to actively support and monitor the project to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.
The Kabarole District Education Officer, Joseph Rujumba, emphasized that the planned infrastructure will play a vital role in improving academic performance and strengthening science education. He noted that the science laboratory will enhance practical learning, while the multipurpose hall will provide much-needed space for school activities and events.
The Head Teacher of Kaboyo Secondary School, Walugembe Moses, expressed gratitude to ENABLE Uganda for supporting the school through the We Learn, We Teach initiative and infrastructure development projects. He said the new facilities will address critical needs at the school and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The project, which will be implemented by Cream Technical Services, is expected to transform education infrastructure at the school and contribute to improved learning outcomes for students in the area.
