Twenty young Nigerian graduates who were kidnapped in Imo State have been rescued.
The graduates were travelling from Ibadan to attend training for the National Youth Service Corps, known as NYSC, in Abia and Akwa Ibom states.
They were kidnapped on October 1st after gunmen attacked two buses they were travelling in along the Owerri-Onitsha Road.
News indicates that Police, soldiers and other security officers later carried out an operation and found the victims in Amakohia-Ubi, in Owerri West. The 20 graduates have since been taken to a government health facility for medical checks, while security officers continue searching for the people behind the kidnapping
