The St. Paul’s National Major Seminary Kinyamasika community has joined the rest of the Church in commemorating Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week.
The celebration started with the procession waving palms from the Basketball court moving through up to their chapel.
While addressing seminarians, deacons, priests, and the lay faithful during Mass, Rev. Fr. Martin Ekwangu, a formator at Kinyamasika Seminary, noted that Palm Sunday, which recalls Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on a donkey, challenges Christians to embrace humility and serve without seeking recognition.
He called on the faithful to welcome Jesus wholeheartedly with joy, recognizing Him as a friend, a brother, and a redeemer in their daily lives.

Meanwhile, the Rector of St. Paul’s National Major Seminary Kinyamasika, Rev. Fr. Vincent Muhindo, described Holy Week as a significant moment for Christians to examine the depth of their relationship with Christ and to reflect on their closeness to God.
He urged seminarians and the wider community to strengthen this relationship and make deliberate efforts to address the gaps in their spiritual lives highlighted during this sacred period.
