Following the return of the remains of the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru in his palace Karuzika yesterday, hundreds of mourners from in and outside Uganda have today thronged to the palace for public viewing and paying their last respect.
The mourners have come from as far as Kyenya, Democratic republic of Congo, India, the Indians and others from Europe.
Moses Ikagobya, one of the culturalists in the kingdom, has said that people are allowed to come and pay their last respects to the body of the fallen King.
Ikagobya has stated that people should not be deceived that there are some rituals or norms and customers followed in viewing the body as being alleged by some people whereby both male, female and children are equally allowed to view the king’s body. However, Ikagyobya has disclosed that people are allowed to dress up well as they come for the view.

Ikagobya states that the King’s body has been left open for everyone to view it like any other way people pay last respect in our homes.
Meanwhile, mourners have been cautioned on the security consciousness whereby some wrong doers have taken it as an advantage to steal people’s property.
