The organizing committee for the sendoff of King Oyo has issued the program to follow for the Royal funeral set for Saturday.
Speaking during the press briefing Dr.Richard Rwabuhinga, the co-chairperson organizing committee for the sendoff of the King this Friday will be an official vigil, final public viewing and paying respect as well as day for speeches
According to Rwabuhinga on Saturday the King will embark his final journey from Karuziika at 8:15 am at St. John’s Cathedral and that main celebrant will be His Grace of the province of the Church of Uganda Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu assisted by the number of the Bishops and the clergy
Rwabuhinga said that the body will leave the palace at 8:15 am and they expect everybody to have sat at the Cathedral at 8am. The body will lay inside the church premise for 45 minutes and at 9am procession will begin moving to the service grounds led by the archbishop of the church of Uganda

He said the service at church will run from 9am to exactly 1pm saying that in the Tooro tradition the King is not buried beyond 2 pm. He added that in the middle of the service they will have four speeches from the sister of the fallen King, Queen mother, the head of Baiito clan and president of his representative
He said that at the Royal tomb no vehicle will be accepted there apart from that one of the Queen mother, the sister to the fallen King, head of Babiito clan, Bishops and the archbishop and the rest will walk on foot from the church to the Royal tombs in Karambi, which is about 6Kms.
