The body of ninety One year old Rev Sr Maria Francisca Adyeeri has finally been laid to rest at Holy Family convent Kinyamasika in Fort portal Diocese describing her as obedient, committed, loving, caring and jolly religious.
Sr Francisca Adyeeri who was to celebrate her 70th anniversary in religious life on 06th Jan 2027 was a born of then Nsenyi Parish but now in Katabu was among the first religious recruited under the leadership of Rev. Fr Yohana Balyebuga “Fr Kiketha”.
In his Homily while Presiding over Requiem mass on behalf of Rt. Rev. Robert K Muhirwa Akiiki, the Ordinary of Fortportal Diocese, the Diocesan chancellor Rev Fr John K.Tumuhairwe described death as real and that all believer’s should be prepared,
Fr John who also described the world as temporary shelter asked Christians to always Renew their relationship with the Almighty if they are to have eternal life
He also asked believer’s in Christ to always respect their supervisor’s and to be good listeners and be mindful of positive legacy
Representing the Family of the deceased Rev Fr Dr Sunday Baluku Sunday hailed the Catholic Church and Banyaterensa sister’s for giving holistic care to their grandmother and that she was welcoming and committed in uniting the family,
The Superior General of the daughter’s of St Terensa of the child Jesus Rev Sr Kaitesirwa Serafine Akiiki described the deceased as committed servant of God who was always focused on her vocation,Rev Sr Seraphine Kaitesirwa
The former member of parliament for Bukonzo East who is also son in law to the deceased Hon Yokasi Bwambale Bihande and former member of parliament for Bukonzo West in Kasese district Hon Katusabe Godfrey Atkins said the deceased was humble, welcoming and knew better approaches of how mothers in law are supposed to handle themselves before their sons in law
